//frenzy-a skill of sheer determination

while typing this im feeling disgusted and disappointed with myself. i dropped one set against wp today, but fortunately i won glenn, so to make things not to bad. i was leading 11-2 (as usual), and he caught up with desperate measures later in the game. i failed to return his "smash of determination" at the end of the game, my patience ran out and tried too hard to "PUMP" him with attack clears but all went out. to my horror, he returned all my smash tygo-ly with either a frame or a very tight net shot that caught me by surprise. and his movement and gameplay and attack improved drasitcally at the end game. is that his special skill? that was what happened ages ago when i owned him 15-4 in the first set and he started bombarding me with his "enthu-mode" relentlessly. i was taken aback, regarding the game i lose. it's extremely surprisingly since i was leading 6-1, 11-2 early game. and he caught up, why? i believe it's his strong will to win against me. having lost the previous two games...., but it might be too many unforced errors on my side. i feel remorseful. but whats over is over and i cant be crying over spilt milk.

the game which i played against glenn was close. draggin all the way to deuce. i was leading throughout and was at 14-12 and all of the sudden he caught up to 14-14. which i decided to play till 17. i won 17-14 afterwards due to his many unforced errors once we started deuce. all i did was to pump him and lift. and occasionally crossnets and smashes, i didn't play aggresively though. and somehow i think he was leadin 11-5 or 6 at the start. i thought it was a gone-case. seriously, being the persurer is much better than the person who is in lead.

last game was against wz. as usual, OWNAGE. yep i got owned. 15-6, better than usual liao. i hate his serve, netting and smash, thats what make him gay. i realize if i cut down on my mistakes (usually a halfcourt lob or lift) due to lack of technique and strokes, i get smashed really bad and die of that very frequently. i should improve on that. i also realize i have no been aiming his one and only weakness-backhand. lol, and his been pumping my backhand extremely often this game. glad i manage to around-the-head a few, and only 1 backhand throughout the entire game. that only one i lobbed a half court on and ended up being smashed.

glenn played against wp. he won, coz wp was worn out. lol. nice game! glad you liked my at700!!! hahaha..

tommorow is physics and i feel prepared. i nid 60+ to pass. i cant be studying now can I? i mean...., it's up to fate whether the paper is easy anot. if it's moderate, say GG to me. im aiming to get 55 for physics. for this paper. ONLY.LOL, kinda impossible. after tmr it seriously feels like exams r over. WOHOO, today amaths and geog the two longest paper. SIAN diao....but glad i managed to get through today. SAFELY. i think i did quite okie for amaths only. with only 3 questions i don't know. and some careless mistakes here and there passing should be no problem. it's a question whether i can get my target-a b4. hopefully im so tygo can get an A. but thats if everything goes smoothly and no mistakes at all. ahha, and the paper was 100 marks, and no 25 marks on trigo. trigo wasn't much of a killer just one diff question thats all. felt so cheated by vlee's "words of advice and wisdom", what 25 marks killer trigo, bullshit. anyway even if have( didn't count ), it's an either or question. maybe total that together than 25. LAMO!!!, den functions quite okie, no function graph if i recall correctly. matrices come out the dulan easy question. if no careless mistake shld be correct. first page super chicken except one remainder therom part 2 dunno. thats all. and one more thing i think my trigo graph is messed up. other than that, quite ok liao lah. happy it's not so "killer".

geog was abit not soo smooth. MCQ was hard. at least to me. i dont know about the others but i felt a really painful headache during the exam. leading me not to be able to do the map properly. ahahahha..maybe i will fail. dunno. one subj high chance of failing. others i think can get quite gd marks. YAY.

back to badminton, dexter says he does not belong to the badminton court. it's true if he continues to sulk and believe he cant catch up. please dexter! you can make it one, just try to play with ting jun wei rong more often. im sure you will improve. all you nid to do is to learn how to lob properly first. then next proceed to your backcourt drop. after that, try to stablise your net play and then you'll quite fine liao. then if you're ambixious (like wz and me), you can try doin crossnets and some deception into your game. mine is not really good yet, im still improving. and trying to catch up. it's always good to have an aim, and not play a sport just to socialise. you need to put in time effort energy dedication etc..., and you cant take a match too lightly. challenge people. first set your target to tj, den maybe followed by winning some other pple like zhong shun all these. they might be rusty etc..and easy to trash, but remember. consistancy is important (i ought to tell myself this), and you must train against the lousier people first to improve. if you're interested maybe you and wr can try to improve together, so that you will not feel that left out. let me gurantee you, within a month or two, you'll be on par with maybe ting jun, glenn or me. who knows. then you can join our training and continue after that. maybe one day you'll beat wz and sim, who knows?? at least im aiming for that. but that seems ubberly far away. and judging from today's match im still mada mada dane. once you can see different tactics, strokes and tell apart drops and nets. and differentiate a good net shot and a bad net shot, you'll start to appreciate badminton for a game that requires alot of thinking and stamina to play. and you will notice everybody has his or her own tactic. slowly, create your arsenal and craft your gameplay. improve technique slowly and additional skills like slice drop shots from the back will aid your game by alot. and i mean alot. once you mastered it, it's yours to keep and you won't lose it. it's like collecting weapons!! seriously, your stamina, reflexes, control, strenght are all part of your stats. you need to play more to put more points into them. develop your strong point. which i believe is net play. i overhead you saying that you cant smash because you're too shot. please, you don't need to be a 180 cm high african or aids patient to be able to smash hard. see sim next time if you have the chance. his about aroundo ur height and his smashs are comparable to wz's. it's the strenght andtiming more than the height. even though i cannot disagree with you that wz's smash power comes from his shifting body weight and his height. that gives him advanatage, but nothing is fair. his long legs also enable him to reach out and take "impossible to take" shots and return it nicely. it's hard to keep up. thats why it's fun, and thats why wz is so gay. even my smash is quite okie and can go down. i believe you can do it also. all you need is practice practice practice. don't get too depressed that everyone's at somewhere that you think you cant reach. it's attainable, just think. if glenn, tayyi, tig jun all can do it, why cant i? don't hum by stickingat the table tennis table all the time. come to wp and say things like "within 2 months im gointo win you". den push yourself hard. visualise the game in your mind. that will improve your game tremendously. if you wan i can lend you some videos of professional badminton. it's useful. picture them and put yourself into the picture, copy their form and mimic their style, you'll play better for sure! even though pple like wzcan sleep all day and still own people (same with his studies), i have learnt to accept that there are extremely talented people out there. this method here is the layman's method of people without extaordinary gay talent. whether it's helpful anot it's up to you to decide. and i hope all my typing doesn't go down the drain.
